Do I need a credit card to try VELLUM?+
No. VELLUM is in early access and free while we build. Create an account, pick an archetype, and start writing. Paid plans will arrive later and current accounts keep their access.
Does the AI Scribe train on my writing?+
No. Your manuscripts are yours. The Scribe reads your document only to answer the request you make in the moment — nothing is used to train third-party models.
Can I work offline?+
Yes. The studio buffers your edits locally and syncs the moment you reconnect. Autosave never blocks your typing.
What if I want to leave?+
You own what you write. Export the full document and its version history at any time, in any supported format. No lock-in.
Which forms are supported?+
Ninety-seven archetypes today, from the three-act novel to the SOAP note. Each has its own scaffold, metadata, and Scribe persona. Browse them on the Templates page.
